On Thursday, June 9, the Founding Committee presented the history and intentions of the newly formed Tennessee Extension Association of Administrative Professionals or TEAAP “T-E-double-A-P” to a state wide group of over 70 participants.  The group was as excited to present as they were to participate in the session.

There are resources already available to serve current and prospective TEAAP members. The new TEAAP website holds the bylaws and association history. The FAQ from the interest survey is now posted under the FAQ tab on the website; this document will answer many of the questions that others may have about the association.

A membership survey form has been sent out and as new members are added, they will also be added to the TEAAP Team site to begin collaborating and extending the community that is beginning to form.  Even more exciting is the annual dues for all +/-200 UT-TSU Extension administrative professionals has been pledged from Dean Stokes and Associate Dean Lighari so that everyone who wishes to become a member will be able to without a charge for the first year.

The group was most interested in the professional development section and Cindy Winchester and the PD Committee shared the first three lunch & learn topics that will be presented starting in July: CAP & CAP re-certification, Google Forms and Docusign.  They will be sending out an interest survey specifically for the L&L’s and for the annual conference that is slated for the spring.

There is MUCH to do!  The Founding Committee is so glad to have new members joining and willing to jump in and help as we focus the efforts of TEAAP for maximum benefit for all.

This is an amazing adventure, join us!  We are… Better Together
